HD Decrypter, a cost-free and simplified version of DVD Copy, DVD Ripper, Blu-ray Copy, Blu-ray Ripper and Video Converter combined, allows users to copy/convert nearly all the DVDs (except for adult DVDs and those containing multiple vts protections) and Blu-rays released before 2018, only with limited copy modes and conversion profiles, or convert non-H.265 and non-4K videos with MKV Passthrough and MP4.Free conversion profiles.

Copy and Convert Certain DVDs & Blu-rays for Free

As a free DVD & Blu-ray decrypter, copy and converter tool in combination, DVDFab HD Decrypter has the power to copy a sea of DVDs & Blu-rays to blank discs or ISO files saved on computer HDDs, or convert them to MKV and MP4 videos for playback on compatible portable and mobile devices.

Copy DVDs & Blu-rays in Full Disc/Main Movie Mode

When used as a free DVD & Blu-ray copy software, HD Decrypter can process DVDs & Blu-rays only with the Full Disc and Main Movie backup modes, allowing for copying the whole content of a DVD & Blu-ray disc and the feature-length movie title, respectively. Furthermore, the compression feature is not available, so is the burning feature due to absence of a built-in burning engine. However, with the help of a 3rd party burning engine, such as Imgburn and Nero burning ROM, the burning feature can be back.

Convert DVDs/Blu-rays/Videos to MKV or MP4 Videos

While used as a free DVD & Blu-ray ripper or video converter software, HD Decrypter can rip DVDs, Blu-rays and convert non-H.265/4K videos only with MKV.Passthrough and MP4.Free conversion profiles. What's more, with the MP4.Free conversion profile, the output videos can retain at most two channels regarding audios, and 480p quality regarding videos.

How To Guide

(Using the Copy Mode as an Example)

Note: when the fully-functional 30-day free trial of DVD Copy, DVD Ripper, Blu-ray Copy or Blu-ray Ripper expires, DVDFab shall switch to the HD Decrypter if you don't purchase the paid version.

Step 1: Launch DVDFab Copy product, and load the source

Double click the DVDFab 11, and then opt for Copy from the option bar when it runs. Next, insert the DVD disc you want to backup into the optical drive, or navigate it through the Add buttons on the main UI if it has already in. When the source comes to be an ISO or a folder, you can just simply drag & drop it into the main UI for loading.

Step 2: Select one copy mode, and customize the output file

Move to the left pane, and click the copy mode switcher to choose the copy mode between Full Disc and Main Movie after source loading. You are empowered to define the output DVD size to be DVD-9 or DVD-5, and you can also define the volume label and select the copying options.

After that, move to the lowest interface, and select the output directory to copy the source to a blank disc, to be an ISO file or a folder, at the Save to part.

Step 3: Start to copy

Click the Start button, DVDFab will immediately begin the copying task with leading processing speed while providing the detailed progress info during the process. You can cancel the task anytime you don't want to continue, and you can also set your PC to automatically shut down, exit program, hibernate or do nothing when the task is done.
